Put a Little "Spring" in Your Step This Weekend

I know, I know, the calendar still clearly says winter and North Texas is notorious for getting thrown weather curve balls this time of year, but I'm going for it! We're talking spring here people! The weather is so perfect right now and what's 16 days on a calendar when this weekends forecast is clearly the winning indicator here. So, whether you're a North Texas native or you are new to the area, here are some fun things you can do to take advantage of this glorious weather.

1. Get Out In The Yard
Help your yard and your homes curb appeal step into spring with a little help from some fresh flowers and mulch. Annuals are an easy way to instantly brighten up your flower garden. But spring is also a good time to plant perennial bulbs that will bloom later in the year and provide beautiful blooms year after year. My personal favorite are tulips and daffodils.

2. Speaking of Tulips...
If you lack a green thumb, perhaps just looking at flowers is more up your ally in which case taking a trip out to the
Texas Tulips in Pilot Point would make for a fun day trip. Rows and rows of beautiful tulips and you can even bring some home with you! I love these little hidden gems like this that you can find in and around our great state!

3. Ellis County Women's Expo
Come on out this weekend and visit the
John Houston Custom Homes booth at the Waxahachie Civic Center this Saturday, March 5th from 9am to 4pm. This event is sure to feature the best of the businesses in our area. Come out and say hi!

4. Come check out some of our new John Houston communities

Spring is notoriously home buying season, and this year is proving to be a hot season already! Check out our   website  or call us at 866.646.6008 to find out what's new in your area. This weather is perfect for driving out to our new communities and checking out our current   inventory homes  or meeting with our sales managers to discuss how we can build,   Your Home, Your Way.

5. Plan an outdoor picnic
This weekend, keep it real simple. Pack your favorite sandwich a blanket and soak in that Vitamin D! Sometimes the best activities are the easiest ones. While it's certainly beautiful out now, we North Texans know full well not to get too used to one type of weather so take advantage of this glimpse of spring while you can! An added bonus...disconnect! Leave your mobile devices at home and soak in all that mother nature has to offer.

Enjoy your weekend!

For parents seeking a nurturing environment where their children can flourish, here are the top three reasons why moving to Grandview could be the best decision for your family and why the Vista Point community is a great place to live and raise a family! 1. Grandview ISD: An A-Rated School District One of the primary concerns for any parent is ensuring their child receives an excellent education. In Grandview, parents can rest assured knowing that their children will attend schools within the Grandview Independent School District (ISD), which boasts an impressive A rating. This distinction reflects the district's commitment to academic excellence and student success. With a dedicated team of educators and staff, Grandview ISD provides a supportive learning environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive. Beyond the accolades, what truly sets Grandview ISD apart is its focus on personalized learning and individualized attention.
